The free version of the Hilti PROFIS Engineering Suite, known as the Standard version, provides a comprehensive set of core design modules for structural connections. It allows engineers to perform code-compliant anchor design for concrete, masonry, and concrete-over-metal deck applications using the latest international standards such as ACI, CSA, and Eurocode. Beyond basic anchoring, the free version includes dedicated modules for post-installed rebar design (concrete-to-concrete), diaphragm design for metal deck attachments, and a specialized handrail/guardrail design tool. This version effectively replaces the legacy PROFIS Anchor software, offering improved functionality and automatic updates to ensure all calculations meet current regulatory requirements.
In terms of productivity and output, the Standard version is a cloud-based platform that facilitates project sharing and basic file management. While it lacks the advanced Component-Based Finite Element Method (CBFEM) found in the Premium version—meaning it assumes a rigid base plate for load distribution—it still generates detailed, professional design reports that include step-by-step calculation proofs for easy verification. Users can also export their final designs into 2D and 3D CAD formats to integrate them into standard BIM workflows.
Although it does not support direct integration with third-party structural analysis software or advanced automated load importing, it remains a robust tool for individual connection checks and standard anchoring tasks.
