Fly Me To The Moon (with Artemis II)

Well, not exactly to the moon, but at least around the moon. And inside an SD card 😉 So as part of NASA’s virtual guest program,

“Send your name around the Moon!”

A team of four astronauts is set to embark on a journey around the Moon and back as part of the Artemis II mission, marking the first manned flight in NASA’s Artemis program. The crew includes NASA astronauts Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, and Christina Koch, along with Jeremy Hansen from the Canadian Space Agency (CSA). They will be the pioneering humans to travel aboard the Space Launch System (SLS) rocket and Orion spacecraft, supported by the necessary ground systems, as they navigate the challenging conditions of space. This mission represents a key milestone towards sending astronauts to the lunar surface and paves the way for future missions to Mars.

The promise: “Submitted names will be included on an SD card that will fly inside Orion when the Artemis II mission launches in 2026. Stay tuned for the latest mission updates, including information about launch at nasa.gov, or sign up for the newsletter to receive NASA updates in your inbox.”
