Desalinización
La tecnología de desalinización transforma el agua de mar en agua dulce para hacer frente a la escasez mundial de agua.

La desalinización es la disciplina industrial y de ingeniería que consiste en eliminar las sales y los minerales disueltos del agua de mar o del agua subterránea salobre para producir agua dulce potable o apta para el riego, y que actualmente abastece a más de 100 millones de personas en regiones con escasez de agua en Oriente Medio, el norte de África, las zonas costeras de Asia y, cada vez más, en el sur de Europa y América.
