RPTU was formed in 2023 from the merger of Technische Universität Kaiserslautern (TUK) and the Landau campus of Universität Koblenz-Landau. It is the only technical university in Rhineland-Palatinate, with strong programs in engineering, computer science, and natural sciences. (Data based on TUK legacy for technical strength).
