IRC was the first protocol to chat over the internet. Less used now, it can still be used efficiently to discuss with passionated professionals on any engineering topics.

We have regrouped here IRCnet, DALnet, EFnet, Freenode & Libera.chat (all being good, but the 2 last ones having more engineering-related channels, therefore particularly recommended to start)
