One of the most famous free online collaborative whiteboard, used by Google or Meta for their own applications or needs.
Many great tools, including:
- all usual drawing tools. The thickness of the free drawing depends on the speed, so nice effects are possible
- flowchart generation, either by AI with a prompt, or be inserting the flowchart in the Mermaid (use the “text to flowchart” item)
- a laser pointer to point without drawing, and many others
You can save your word by either:
- saving the file locally (free)
- saving a encrypted link that can be accessed later (free)
- saving to your Excalidraw+ account (paid)
Or you can export it (as .PNG or .SVG or to the clipboard)
Tip: a very smooth experience, but the collaborative/shared link must be tested in advance, as many options are possible and behave differently (live drawing, sharing a link of an already-made drawing …)
FYI, the full whiteboard opensource software, so as the online app code, can also be downloaded on GitHub and installed on your server, or installed via an npm package.
