Benefits: 100% free to install and to use, plenty of engines available, can work offline once installed, no sensitive topic limitation (in other words: do not provide this tools to kids)
Tips, from our extensive experience:
- really no IT experience required; it installs all dependencies and packages
- while several AI engines will work with any graphic card, most will ask for an NVIDIA card, and VRAM will be the main factor. Expect acceptable generation times for images if you have at least 6Go VRAM, but at least 12Go for video generation
- count at least 20Go on hard drive per engine installed
