Onion Search Engine is a discovery tool designed to index and retrieve content from the Tor network, specifically targeting .onion hidden services. The platform utilizes a proprietary crawler to catalog data from dark web forums, marketplaces, and directories that are typically excluded from surface-web search indexes.
User can submit their onion sites. Very minimalist GUI, as in the old Yahoo & Google times. Not very complete, but be sure to check also their original “map” view on the top right.
Its operational model emphasizes user anonymity through a strict no-log policy, which prevents the collection of IP addresses, search queries, or session timestamps. By providing a searchable interface for non-indexed content, the service serves as a primary entry point for accessing decentralized and encrypted information repositories.
