This invention ensures sealing performance of a vehicle door even if a corner is provided on a joint surface of an inner panel and an outer panel. A tail gate 1 includes an outer panel 11 and an inner panel 12 joined to the outer panel 11 via an adhesive 13. An outer surface 12a of the inner panel 1 has an outer surface common part 31 that intersects with a joining direction D at a first intersection angle θ1, and an outer surface inclined part 32 that continues from the outer surface common part 31 via a ridgeline-form convex corner part 34 and intersects with the joining direction at a second intersection angle θ2 smaller than the first intersection angle θ1. A recess 40 is formed in the portion of the convex corner part 34 where the adhesive 13 is provided, and near the convex corner part 34 of the outer surface common part 31, a pair of first ribs 41 are formed apart from each other such that the recess 40 is located therebetween. The pair of first ribs 41 are inclined such that the distance therebetween narrows as the ribs approach the convex corner part 34.

Medical storage and transportation device
A medical storage and transportation device is provided, which includes storage units 200, refrigeration units 300, and first and second refrigerant storage units that store a first 301 and second 302 refrigerant. The storage and transportation device controls temperatures of the refrigeration units by adjusting phases and proportions of the first and second refrigerant in the refrigeration units, so as to control temperatures of the storage units corresponding to the refrigeration units. The first and second refrigerant may be stored at different temperatures and in different phases. An intelligence module (400, fig 2) may be used to control the phases and proportions of first and second refrigerant used to control the temperature of the storage units. The storage units may be equipped with material cavities 201 for accommodating an active material and the refrigeration units may have cold source cavities 303 for accommodating the first and/or second refrigerant.

The safety apparatus comprises a dome shaped covering 12 for covering a patient's body part for forming a chamber between the dome and a surface and/or patient, the covering has openings 22 for insertion of arms into the chamber and an extraction means 36 connectable to the chamber and suitable for continuously extracting gas from the chamber at a rate that creates an inflow of gas through the openings towards the extraction means, thereby preventing gas escaping from the chamber through the openings. The extraction means may be in fluid communication with the chamber at two positions and may include a tube connecting the chamber to a pump, and may include a gas filter between the chamber and pump. The gas may be extracted at a rate of at least 400L/min. The extraction means may help prevent build-up of condensate within the cover and provide evenly distributed cooling airflow passing over the patient.

Garments and methods for detecting one or more characteristics of a wearer
A garment comprises at least one impedance sensor for detecting a parameter indictive of a bioelectrical impedance of a wearer of the garment. The at least one impedance sensor comprises at least two electrodes. The apparatus comprises a controller for receiving the detected parameter; determining a body fat indicator and outputting the estimate of body fat indicator. Further disclosed is a garment which can determine the wearer's centre of gravity based on weight, body fat and an estimate of width of the feet of the wearer. The garment may include muscle activity sensors and indicators to output an indication of relative performance of muscles.

An ostomy appliance
An ostomy appliance including: first 212 and second 214 walls connected to each other near their peripheries; a stoma-receiving opening 216; a collecting cavity 218 defined between the first and second walls wherein the stoma-receiving opening is fluidly connected to the collecting cavity; a connection member 220 connected to the first wall for attaching the appliance to a user; a gas vent 208 for venting gas from the collecting cavity to atmosphere with a filter 209 positioned over the gas vent. A third wall (17, 30, figure 4), connected to the second wall at a connection, prevents pancaking via movement of the third wall away from the first wall to separate the collecting cavity and allow air to flow. The filter may optionally define a first discrete area and the connection between the first and second walls defines a second discrete area which may have a plurality of connections using adhesives or heat welds. The appliance may optionally be provided with a comfort layer.

Ray tracing
A computer-implemented method of performing intersection testing in a ray tracing system. Intersection testing is performed for each of a plurality of rays against nodes of a hierarchical acceleration structure. Intersection testing for each of the rays comprises obtaining a first ray identifier associated with the ray S532. The first ray identifier is compared with a second ray identifier associated with a previously tested ray S508. Each ray identifier generalises ray data for its respective ray. In response to determining that the first ray identifier is equal to the second ray identifier, an indication of a re-entry point associated with the previously tested ray is obtained S512. Intersection testing of the ray against a set of nodes of the hierarchical acceleration structure is performed starting from the re-entry point S514. Also disclosed is computer readable code to perform the method, a ray tracing system and an integrated circuit to manufacture the ray tracking system.
