VBN Components AB is an advanced materials engineering and production company founded in 2008 and based in Uppsala, Sweden. The company manufactures wear-resistant and heat-resistant industrial tools and components directly from metal powders under its patented brand Vibenite®.
Rather than using traditional casting or subtractive machining of difficult-to-cut metals, VBN Components consolidates gas-atomized powder alloys into fully dense, near-net shape components with internal features like cooling channels, achieving hardnesses up to 72 HRC.
VBN Components won Sweden’s SKAPA innovation prize and Germany’s Best of Industry Award for developing additively manufactured cemented carbides and ultra-hard tool steels.
