Ingemat S.L. is a Spanish engineering and robotic automation company established in 1986, based in the Bizkaia Science and Technology Park in Zamudio. The company specializes in turnkey robotic assembly systems, advanced joining solutions, and custom automated machinery primarily for automotive body-in-white (BIW) production lines.

With around 40 years of operational experience, Ingemat has delivered over 1,000 hemming systems and automated cells to more than 40 automotive OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers across 25+ countries worldwide. Ingemat maintains a subsidiary in Mexico and joined the American industrial group ArtiFlex Manufacturing in 2024.

Ingemat provides end-to-end mechatronic engineering, robotics programming, and custom machinery design:

  • Turnkey Robotic Assembly Lines: Flexible BIW cells for automotive closure parts (doors, hoods, tailgates, roofs, and wheel arches) and structural components (floors, pillars, and crossmembers).
  • Patented Hemming Technology: Table-top hemming machines and robot roller hemming systems engineered for both steel and aluminum sheet components.
  • Robotic Joining Integration: Design and commissioning of cells incorporating resistance spot welding, arc welding, laser welding, friction welding, structural adhesive dispensing, clinching, and self-piercing riveting (SPR/FDS).
  • Mechatronic Design & Virtual Commissioning: 3D mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic engineering, electrical hardware design, PLC/HMI programming (Siemens, Rockwell), and virtual commissioning via Robcad, Process Simulate, and digital twins.
  • Tooling, Jigs & Fixtures: Custom work-holding fixtures, part-transfer clamping tooling, and end-of-arm grippers designed for high-precision robot manipulation.
