Doppler division multiplexing (ddm) multiple-input multiple-output (mimo) radar system and decoding method

Patent published on the 2025-02-19 in EP under Ref EP4509863 by NXP BV [NL] (Rosu Filip Alexandru [nl], Brigalda Adriana [nl], Silion Daniel [nl])

Abstract: A radar system may include transmitter modules configured to transmit multiple transmit signals in accordance with a Doppler Domain Multiplexing (DDM) scheme, receiver modules configured to receive reflections from the plurality of transmit signals reflected off an object and to generate corresponding digital signals, and a signal processor configured to generate a range-Doppler antenna cube representing the digital signals, and, for each of range bin of the cube, to generate a decoded range-Dop[...]

Improved radar detection using prior tracked object information

Patent published on the 2025-02-19 in EP under Ref EP4509864 by NXP BV [NL] (Chan Lu Lu [nl], Gehrels Cornelis [nl], Sari Alp [nl], Kaneko Takeshi [nl], Paker ÖzgÜn [nl], Koppelaar Arie Geert Cornelis [nl])

Abstract: A system includes a processor and a non-transitory computer-readable medium storing machine instructions that cause the processor to perform a first fast Fourier transform (FFT) on received radar data to obtain a range-antenna data array and to perform a second FFT on the range-antenna data array to obtain a range-Doppler-antenna data cube. The processor performs peak detection on the range-Doppler-antenna data cube based on object information to obtain a subset that includes confirmed peaks and[...]

Automatic Configuration Search for Parameter-Efficient Fine-Tuning

Published on 2024-05-25 by Han Zhou, Xingchen Wan, Ivan Vuli?, Anna Korhonen @MIT

Abstract: Large pretrained language models are widely used in downstream NLP tasks via task-specific fine-tuning, but such procedures can be costly. Recently, Parameter-Efficient Fine-Tuning (PEFT) methods have achieved strong task performance while updating much fewer parameters than full model fine-tuning (FFT). However, it is non-trivial to make informed design choices on the PEFT configurations, such as their architecture, the number of tunable parameters, and even the layers in which the PEFT modules[...]

Our summary: Efficient fine-tuning method achieved with fewer parameters. AutoPEFT uses Bayesian optimization to discover optimal configurations. Outperforms existing methods on GLUE and SuperGLUE tasks. Pareto-optimal set balances performance and cost.
